We offer programs and services for income-eligible, senior, disabled or in-need residents of Warren and Hamilton Counties in New York State.

SOME OF OUR PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Food Pantries

We have food pantries at both our locations:

190 Maple Street in Glens Falls, New York, open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday

13 East Main Street in Indian Lake, New York open 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday

Weatherization Help

We can help income-eligible tenants or homeowners with furnace testing, repair and replacement, insulation, weather-stripping and other energy conservation measures.

Crisis Services

We offer emergency/crisis services to assist families in crisis when funds are available. We also provide counseling and referrals regarding housing, heating, and other emergency needs.

Alternative Sentencing

We place participants who are court-mandated to complete community service with various not-for-profit and municipal worksites.

Transportation

Transportation services are offered to Hamilton County residents.

Project Option – Case Management

Our case management is geared to increase self-sufficiency by identifying strengths and reducing barriers. We may address issues such as employment, education or family functioning.

Welcome to Community Action

We are a private, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We have two sites, one in Glens Falls, and one in Indian Lake, and operate with a staff of 19 people.

Our services are confidential and free of charge to eligible participants.
